ROSELAND, N.J./September 25, 2007 -- These September 24, 2007 articles detail a new category of asbestos suits in which plaintiffs sue employers over secondhand exposure to toxic chemicals entering their homes via work clothes. In both articles, Connell Foley partner Timothy E. Corriston points out the growing number of women filing take-home asbestos lawsuits. He also states that the pivotal issue in these cases lies in determining whether second-hand exposure to these chemicals is sufficient to actually cause a disease. Mr. Corriston also said that employers are growing increasingly alarmed about this new category of asbestos litigation because it exponentially increases the number of potential plaintiffs.
