Roseland, New Jersey - September 6, 2016 - Connell Foley LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has hired a group of nine highly accomplished attorneys who will be based in the firm’s Newark office. The strategic expansion of Connell Foley’s Newark presence augments the firm’s practice in commercial litigation, real estate, insurance, bankruptcy and employment law.
Joining the firm are partners Robert L. Podvey, Henry J. Catenacci, H. Richard Chattman, J. Barry Cocoziello and Marianne C. Tolomeo, of counsel Lisa J. Trembly and Robert K. Scheinbaum, and associates Aaron Gould and Michael J. Schewe, all of whom previously practiced in Newark.

The new team
Robert Podvey is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and has a wide range of experience in real estate matters, including zoning and land use, construction disputes, real estate financing, leasing (both from the landlord and the tenant side), environmental liability management and compliance, and permit matters.
Henry Catenacci concentrates primarily on first-party insurance coverage and subrogation matters. He handles complex litigation, and has advised on numerous multi-million dollar insurance coverage cases on behalf of insurers. He also provides consulting services with respect to insurance procedures and policies.
Richard Chattman also advises on first-party insurance coverage and subrogation matters. He provides advice and analysis regarding all types of insurance coverage issues, and handles complex litigation in many forums, especially federal courts. In addition, he lectures on expert admissibility issues.
Barry Cocoziello is an experienced litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience. He is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and has a wide range of experience in complex commercial litigation, fraud and RICO law, construction litigation, employment litigation and disciplinary proceedings before professional boards.
Marianne Tolomeo practices in the areas of employment and commercial litigation, as well as appellate matters. She advises clients on employment issues ranging from terminations, and wage and hour disputes, to policy manuals, restrictive covenants and compliance with a broad range of employment statutes.
Lisa Trembly’s practice includes insurance coverage litigation relating to first-party property insurance policies, insurance fraud litigation, consumer fraud actions, and general commercial matters. She also handles appeals, arbitrations and mediations, and advises clients on contract and insurance coverage issues and potential consumer fraud claims and violations.
Robert Scheinbaum concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bankruptcy/insolvency. He has additional experience in actuarial consulting, financial analyses and valuations.
Aaron Gould is a civil litigator whose practice focuses on representing clients in complex insurance coverage disputes, including environmental and catastrophic claims, as well as other complex commercial litigation.
Michael Schewe focuses his practice on all aspects of immigration law, from corporate-business immigration to consular processing and removal defense. He also handles matters related to land use/commercial real estate, employment law, family law and other complex and commercial litigation.
