Overview

Aaron Gould is a civil litigator and trial attorney whose practice focuses on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and complex insurance coverage disputes, including catastrophic claims.  Aaron also counsels businesses to resolve disputes that could result in litigation. He also works with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues and claims prior to litigation.

Aaron litigates a wide variety of complex civil cases in state and federal courts in New Jersey, New York, and across the country. Aaron works as part of a commercial litigation and trial team in Connell Foley LLP’s Jersey City office that works to leverage litigations in the early stages to best benefit its clients but is willing to take any case to trial when necessary. This part of his practice includes the litigation of a wide variety of complex commercial matters, including corporate dissolution/oppressed minority shareholder litigation, partnership and membership disputes, complex contract disputes, bank litigation, construction, cannabis, and securities litigation.  As part of his representation of businesses on these matters, Aaron has developed an expertise in analyzing clients’ business and accounting issues to generate effective litigation and resolution strategies.  Aaron also has extensive experience acting as local counsel for civil matters venued in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York.

Aaron also litigates all types of first-party commercial and industrial property coverage disputes and subrogation actions in state and federal courts in New Jersey, New York, and across the country.  Aaron has significant experience with power generation, hospitals, mining, large commercial and residential condominium, municipal property, and other large commercial facility losses. He is also proficient with all issues relating to property damage coverage and exclusions, business interruption coverage and exclusions, and deductibles. Aaron is adept at all aspects of insurance coverage analysis needed during a claim adjustment. He has drafted numerous coverage denial letters and pre-litigation opinion letters for first-party insurers. Aaron has also handled many large subrogation actions on behalf of property insurers, consistently resulting in significant recoveries for his clients.

Aaron is highly proficient in all areas of the e-discovery process and has led numerous large scale ESI collections, reviews, and productions.
