Overview
Luis Torres focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, including construction/labor law, premises liability and general negligence. He formerly worked as an associate at a boutique employment law firm, where he assisted management with a range of employment issues, including wage & hour, discrimination/harassment, FMLA, ACA, ADA, federal & state investigations, labor/union law, executive compensation, bonus/commission plans, terminations/hirings, and other federal and state compliance issues. Prior to that he worked at the New York Legal Aid Society, where he launched LAS’s first bankruptcy clinic and litigated cases as a staff attorney.
As a student at Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law, Luis served as the Pro Bono Fellow, founded and served as president of the Lawyers Without Borders Student Division, and participated in the Center for Constitutional Democracy’s Legal Journal & Fellowship.
