Overview
Anthony Giountikos represents businesses and real estate owners, developers, landlords and tenants in a wide range of transactions. This includes the formation, operation, purchase, sale, leasing, financing and refinancing of a variety of businesses and real estate ventures. In particular, Tony structures, negotiates, documents and closes title to complex commercial and industrial real estate matters, and guides clients in the planning and organizing of new business entities to pursue their objectives. He is especially experienced in transactions involving multiple-unit and mixed-use properties, including restaurants. In addition, Tony handles the acquisition and sale of New Jersey real estate by national clients.
Tony negotiates, drafts, reviews and finalizes letters of intent, sale, purchase, access, consulting, escrow and post-closing agreements, leases, easements, licenses, tenant estoppels, Subordination and Non-Disturbance Agreements (SNDAs), institutional and private financing instruments, opinion letters and related closing documents. His experience covers transactions involving industrial parks, apartment complexes, office buildings, retail stores, mixed-use properties and closely held businesses in various business sectors.
As part of his practice, Tony advises clients on the development and redevelopment of all types of real estate properties, including contaminated sites undergoing environmental remediation and business operations that are subject to the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA).
In addition, Tony handles complicated liquor license sale and purchase transactions, including negotiating, drafting, reviewing and finalizing agreements of sale, applications for transfer and accompanying documents, and guides clients throughout the liquor license transfer regulatory process.
