ROSELAND, N.J./September 30, 2008 -- John P. Lacey, a partner with Connell Foley LLP of Roseland, New Jersey, was featured in the September 29, 2008 Edition of NJBIZ in an article on New Jersey law firms experiencing increased business as a result of Wall Street woes. In “Law Firms May Gain from Wall Street Pain,” reporter Martin C. Daks interviews partners from several New Jersey law firms to get their take on any uptick in litigation business they may be experiencing from the turmoil facing our financial markets.
Mr. Lacey told the reporter that Connell Foley expects the financial troubles to generate more business. “We expect quite a bit of litigation to arise from the problems on Wall Street,” he said, drawing similarities to the savings and loan bank crises of the 1980s and 1990s, when Connell Foley handled cases for a variety of financial institutions. “In such cases, we assemble a team of people with the expertise and experience necessary to bring the matter to a successful conclusion,” Mr. Lacey added.
