Jennifer Critchley, a partner in the Commercial Litigation Group at Connell Foley, and Lauren Iannaccone, an associate in the Group, co-authored an article titled “Pre-Selecting a Forum for Future Litigation May Decrease Your Costs, But Only if the Clause is Drafted Appropriately,” which was published for the October 2016 issue of the Business Law Section Newsletter, a publication of the New Jersey State Bar Association. The article discusses the importance of having a well-drafted forum selection clause within a contract’s terms of agreement in order to avoid potentially costly litigation should the contracting parties ever face a dispute.
