Roseland, New Jersey - December 10, 2015 - Connell Foley LLP is proud to announce that its Managing Partner, Michael X. McBride, has been named the recipient of the Inaugural James B. Lee, Jr. LifeLink Award by the Inner-City Scholarship Fund of the Archdiocese of New York. Mr. McBride will be recognized by Cardinal Dolan with this honor at the Inner-City Scholarship Fund’s 39th Annual Awards Dinner on Monday, December 14.
Named in honor of James B. “Jimmy” Lee, Jr., the former Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Chase and Board Member of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund, the award will be presented annually to “individuals who connect young people to life-changing opportunities.”
“It is a tremendous personal honor to receive this award,” said Mr. McBride. “Jimmy’s commitment to serving children and helping them overcome significant challenges and obtain an excellent education is inspiring. Thanks to the Inner-City Scholarship Fund, his legacy will continue for generations to come.”
Mr. McBride supports many charitable and educational organizations that benefit children. He is a former Chairman and is on the Board of Covenant House New Jersey. He also serves on the Executive Committee of Georgetown University, Board of Regents, and is a former Trustee of the Delbarton School in Morristown. He maintains an extensive legal practice representing owners, developers, contractors, and vendors in all aspects of the real estate development and construction business. Among his more notable projects are the large scale development of data centers, industrial tract and office developments, residential apartment and condominium projects, and shopping center developments throughout the Northeast. Mr. McBride is a graduate of Stanford University, B.A., and Georgetown University, J.D.
