Roseland, New Jersey - April 23, 2015 - Connell Foley LLP is proud to announce that firm partner Karen Painter Randall has been appointed vice chair of the USLAW NETWORK Data Privacy & Security Practice Group. Ms. Randall, who co-chairs Connell Foley’s Cyber Security and Data Privacy Group, was named to the position by the USLAW Executive Committee and will serve a two-year term in the post.
Ms. Randall, a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, is a veteran trial attorney in both state and federal courts. She represents clients in complex litigation involving data security and privacy, professional liability, employment law, business litigation, construction law, insurance law, product liability, and tort law. In response to the growing concerns of cyber liability and the demands from her strong base of insurance industry clients, Ms. Randall has become particularly well-versed in the area of cyber liability and its impact on the insurance industry relevant to first party losses and third party liability claims, cyber coverage, best practices for incidence response and risk management. A longstanding and committed member of USLAW NETWORK, Ms. Randall also has played an active role in USLAW leadership relevant to the Professional Liability, Retail, Construction and Women’s Practice Groups. She is also a frequent presenter at USLAW’s annual and regional conferences and contributor to USLAW’s Magazine.
Joining Ms. Randall in the leadership of the USLAW NETWORK Data Privacy & Security Practice Group are Richard Sheinis of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., who will serve as chair, and John Jablonski of Goldberg Segalla, who will serve as secretary. The Practice Group includes lawyers with years of experience in wide-ranging practice areas, including but not limited to cyber, healthcare, retail, technology litigation, professional liability, white collar, employment, class action, risk management, crisis management and counseling.
