Douglas Short Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney

Roseland, New Jersey - April 20, 2015 - Connell Foley LLP is pleased to announce that firm attorney Douglas J. Short has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney.

The Certified Civil Trial Attorney designation is awarded to attorneys based upon experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trial law. Candidates must pass a written examination and be recognized by their peers as having sufficient skills and reputation in the area of civil trial law. The certification process was established by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1980 for the purpose of helping consumers find attorneys with a recognized level of competence in their particular area of law.

Mr. Short, who was recently promoted to counsel at Connell Foley, represents insurance companies and their clients in tort-based liability claims and contractual claims in the Superior Court of New Jersey and in various arbitration forums. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Short served on active duty in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps.  He received his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law, and his M.B.A. and B.S. from Salisbury State University.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
