Connell Foley Announces Election of Five New Partners

ROSELAND, N.J./February 17, 2010 -- Connell Foley LLP elected five new partners effective January 1, 2010: Agnes Antonian, Bryan P. Couch, Patricia A. Lee, M. Trevor Lyons, and Michael A. Shadiack.

Agnes Antonian concentrates her practice in complex litigation, including, environmental and land use litigation, construction law, and intellectual property litigation. She also represents developers and property owners in numerous challenges to adverse rulings by state and federal regulators. Ms. Antonian received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Bryan P. Couch practices primarily in the areas of business litigation, product liability and tort law. He represents multiple large franchisors involved in commercial disputes and trademark litigation in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York. Mr. Couch is a graduate of the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy at Stanford University. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was the notes and comments editor of the Seton Hall University Journal of Sport Law. He received his B.A. from Fordham University.

Patricia A. Lee has a broad commercial litigation practice including complex civil matters, class actions, and appeals. She primarily represents clients in health care, professional liability, construction, and business litigation matters. Ms. Lee received her J.D. magna cum laude from the American University-Washington College of Law, where she was a member of the school’s Administrative Law Review. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Rider University. She is also a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy, and served as a law clerk to the Hon. R. Benjamin Cohen, New Jersey Chancery Division-General Equity Part.

M. Trevor Lyons' practice is devoted to representing employers in all areas of labor and employment-related matters. Mr. Lyons regularly counsels clients in making employment-related decisions so as to avoid or reduce the risks of litigation, and represents clients in federal and state court. He also represents employers in traditional labor matters. Mr. Lyons is the author of numerous published articles about employment law related issues, and regularly appears as a lecturer on workplace legal issues. He presently serves on the Editorial Board of the NJSBA Labor and Employment Law Quarterly. Mr. Lyons received his J. D. from Washington University School of Law and his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Michael A. Shadiack practices exclusively labor and employment law on behalf of management in the private and public sectors. In addition, he represents non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education. He is an active leader in his community and was included in the 2009 New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star directory. Mr. Shadiack received his J.D. with a concentration in labor and employment law from Seton Hall University School of Law where he was the Associate Editor of the Seton Hall University Journal of Sport Law. Mr. Shadiack received his B.A. from Seton Hall University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
