Karen Painter Randall, chair of Connell Foley’s Cyber Security and Data Privacy Group, is a speaker on two separate topics at the USLAW NETWORK Data Privacy & Security Boot Camp, which will be held March 5-6 in Dallas, TX. The Data Privacy & Security Boot Camp will address the most significant issues facing data privacy and security lawyers in this fast-moving industry.
Karen will present on “IoT and Mobile Applications,” which will discuss the collection of data that comes from the numerous items connected to the Cloud and Smart Phones (such as cars, homes, toys, wearables and more), including who collects all this data, where it goes and what is done with it, not to mention the associated security risks and privacy considerations. She will also present on “Cyber Insurance” along with Matt Ross from CNA Insurance. They will provide an overview of the cyber insurance market, the challenges for insurers and insureds, and finding the right match between policies and coverage.
