Damages from cybercrime are expected to skyrocket this year due to the ransomware crisis. Karen will discuss the rapidly evolving ransomware landscape, strategies behind paying a ransom demand and best practices for accounting businesses to implement to prevent the loss of personally identifiable information used to fraudulently file tax returns and instigate identity theft, and release of confidential, compromising or embarrassing information.
