Karen Painter Randall, chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group, will serve as the conference chair for the 2nd Annual Cybersecurity Institute, which is presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Cybersecurity Legal Task Force. This year's program, titled "Cybersecurity in the Legal Profession: One Size Doesn’t Fit All - A Practical Approach," will provide attendees with a better understanding of data security risks, and the top best practices to stay safe.
Karen, who also chairs the NJSBA Cybersecurity Legal Task Force, will lead the discussion on incident response planning, and will be joined in that discussion by fellow Task Force members Allison Davis, Keith Novak and Rich Sheridan. The full-day Institute will cover a wide range of topics and will include an informative mock breach tabletop exercise led by Carrie Parikh, Chief Data and Privacy Officer from the State of NJ, Chris Rein, and Michael Geraghty, NJ Director of Cybersecurity.
The program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 6.7 hours of total CLE credit.
