Michael A. Shadiack Presents Practical Compliance Advice on Human Resources Issues

ROSELAND, NJ (July 27, 2011) - Connell Foley partner Michael A. Shadiack was a featured presenter at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) “HR 201: Putting It All Into Practice" held on July 25, 2012 at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe, New Jersey. 

Shadiack's presentation entitled “Putting HR and Employment Law Into Practice” provided more than 175 human resource professionals, management representatives, and in-house counsel with best practices and practical tips on:

  • Drafting job descriptions;
  • Creating and enforcing drug and alcohol policies; 
  • Preparing for and implementing reductions-in force; and
  • Drafting separation and release agreements.

Shadiack is a partner in the firm's Labor and Employment Law practice group, who practices exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law on behalf of management in the private and public sectors. He represents international and regional private corporations, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education. He provides employers with pro-active and preventative counseling on personnel and benefit issues to ensure compliance with statutory and common law requirements, as well as prepares comprehensive and practical employment agreements and employee handbooks tailored to each employer’s specific needs.
