Thomas J. O'Leary, has been named to
the American Arbitration Association's (AAA) Roster of
Neutrals for construction cases. The roster is an exclusive
list of accomplished and respected practitioners from legal
and business communities throughout the nation.
The AAA
is the nation's leading provider of alternative dispute
resolution services, addressing disputes involving, but not
limited to, employment, intellectual property, consumer,
technology, healthcare, financial services, construction and
international trade conflicts. Private parties select
arbitrators from the Roster of Neutrals, who hear and
resolve legal conflicts outside of the traditional civil
court system.
At Connell Foley, Mr. O'Leary is a member of
the construction practice group who has extensive experience
drafting construction contracts and resolving complex
construction disputes. He has represented public and private
owners, developers, engineers and architects, sureties,
construction managers, prime contractors, subcontractors,
and equipment and material suppliers in a variety of complex
matters involving claims for delay and disruption,
productivity losses, design and construction defects,
default and termination, differing site conditions,
scope of work disputes, and performance and payment bond
clams.
O'Leary is a 1998 graduate of Boston College Law
School, where he was an editor of the
Boston College International & Comparative Law Review, and
a cum laude
graduate of Rutgers University,
College of Engineering. Prior to his legal career,
Mr. O'Leary served in the U.S. Navy as an engineering
officer on a nuclear powered fast attack submarine.
