John Lacey Moderates Seminar for Minority Bar
Groups on Pathways
to the Federal Judiciary

---- On October 20, 2010, Connell Foley Partner
John P. Lacey conducted
a
panel discussion for minority lawyers at the
New Jersey
Law Center
in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Lacey, the President of the
Association of the Bar of New Jersey, served as the
Moderator for the discussion on opportunities available to
minority lawyers in the federal judiciary and the
requirements to become a federal jurist. Among the
invited guests were The Honorable Julio M. Fuentes of the
United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, The
Honorable Jose L. Linares of the United States District
Court for the District of New Jersey and The Honorable Karen
Williams, United States Magistrate Judge of the U.S.
District Court.
The Sponsoring Organizations included the New Jersey State
Bar Association and the following
New Jersey
organizations: The Association of Black Women Lawyers, the
Garden State Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association,
the Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the South Asia
