Bennett Authors Book Chapter on Labor and Employment Law

John K. Bennett, Chair of Connell Foley’s
Labor and Employment Law Practice, has authored a chapter in the 2008 edition of
New Jersey Federal Civil Procedure, edited by Robert E. Bartkus and Elizabeth J. Sher. The book, to be published in August, 2008 by New Jersey Law Journal Books, will be available at

Mr. Bennett’s chapter, entitled “Special Considerations in Cases Involving Labor and Employment Law,” focuses on frequently encountered procedural and practical considerations involved in labor and employment litigation matters in federal court, particularly in the District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit.
Mr. Bennett's entire 28 years of practice has been devoted to representing employers in all areas of labor and employment benefits-related matters, including: traditional labor matters before the NLRB and arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements; employment-related litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including jury trials; negotiation and enforcement of employment agreements and restrictive covenants, labor-injunction matters in federal and state courts, and advising employers concerning all aspects of labor relations and employment law.
Mr. Bennett is a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Labor and Employment and Litigation sections of the American Bar Association.
