Since joining Connell Foley in 2004, Douglas J. Short has represented insurance companies and their clients in tort-based liability claims and contractual claims in the Superior Court of New Jersey and in various arbitration forums.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Short served on active duty in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps from 2000 to 2004. While in the Navy, Mr. Short served one tour as a trial defense counsel at U.S. Naval Air Station, Lemoore, California and one tour as the Staff Judge Advocate at U.S. Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Italy. Mr. Short is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves.
