William D. Deveau primarily focuses
his practice in the areas of Real
Estate and Insurance law. He
counsels and represents insurers on
complex insurance issues. Mr. Deveau
also represents
owners, developers, contractors and
vendors in all aspects of the real
estate development business,
including Municipal Land Use.
Additionally, he has experience in
corporate transactions,
environmental remediation and
litigation relating to all his
practice areas.
In law school, Mr. Deveau was the
recipient of the New York State Bar
Association Law Student Achievement
Award (2004) and a member of the
St. John’s University Law School
Journal of Legal Commentary. Mr.
Deveau also served as the President
of the Environmental Law Society.
After graduating law school, he
worked as a Law Clerk for the United
States Department of Justice, in the
Environmental & Natural Resources
Division, Environmental Enforcement
Section. He is a contributor to the
New York State Bar Association's
Environmental Lawyer publication.
